| Quite
often people ask me - being the computer geek and all - how can I clean up my
PC?
Well here are some simple basic steps that anyone should be able to follow:

| Open up a Windows Explorer… Right click on the C drive and click on properties. Click on the General Tab and it will show you how much space you are using and all that jazz. Check off the Compress Hard Drive options and Click on disk Cleanup And let that run. After that is done…… Open up a Windows Explorer… Right click on the C drive and click on properties. Click on the TOOLS Tab and then you should see something on there that says DEFRAG. Click on the DEFRAG button and and let that run…… Walk away…. After that is done…… Do a FIND on your computer for either the file SCANDISK or CHKDSK. You should be able to run that *.exe program – that will identify and repair any lost clusters After that runs – do a find on all *.CHK files. Delete them all. Cache can’t be cleaned up – but you can clean your cookies…. Do a FIND on your computer for either any file with *COOKIE*. Click on whatever folder is housing COOKIES and you may want to do a sort on modified (Click on the MODIFIED tab). Go ahead and delete what you want out of there – but be aware that of you have any websites you go to where your computer is setup to store and save the password so you don’t have to type it in all the time. If you blow all away all your cookies – then you will be prompted to enter your passwords again. |

called AVG. FREE Firewall protection: GOOGLE "Zone Alarm" - you can download it for free. Comcast recommends both of these...I use it and it's all good! No worries !
